Absolutely nails this perfectly about the Catholic Church. Finally a good film! Please, no more films with boring Heros or with Dwayne Johnson The Rock. If this movie is considered not only to be entertainment but a work of art worthy of cinematic awards and an endorsement of Hollywood's encouragement for more like it to be produced then it's a sad day for the industry. I found it to be nasty, ugly piece of work that sets out to portray men in the foulest light possible for no better reason than to play to the current drumbeat of every social movement wanting to distance itself from Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.
I can only guess the claim to being a 'comedy' albeit a black comedy, is to justify a certain degree of satire in stereotyping the white guys as racist, mysogenists on the defensive against the unexpected attack of the movie's downtrodden feminist principle character.
The fact is, ordinary people do not act or talk the way these characters do. The dialog is devoted to extreme expletives raging on in hate for each other and proving and achieving nothing in the process. Ironically the result is extremely racially offensive and sexist and even manages to be debasing to dwarfs; and for this trash they award oscars.

You know what I was thinking about today? I was thinking about those street gangs they have down Los Angeles, those Crips and those Bloods. You're still culpable by the very act of having joined those Crips and those Bloods in the first place. Which got me thinking, Father, that whole type of situation is kinda like you church boys, innit? You've got your collars, you've got your clubhouse, your - for one of a better word - a gang. And if you're upstairs smoking a pipe and reading your Bible while one of your fellow gang members is downstairs fucking an altar boy, well. Father, just like those Crips and just like those Bloods - you're culpable. Cause you've joined the gang, man. I don't care if you've never did shit, you've never saw shit, you've never heard shit. You joined the gang - you're culpable. And if a person is culpable to altar boy fucking, or any kind of boy fucking, cause I know you guys didn't really narrow that down, than you're kind of forfeit the right to come into my house and say anything about me, or my life, or my daughter, or my billboards. I did laugh that much during the whole shit monologue than I laughed at the opening, what a great actor. How in the world they nominated Mary J Blige over Holly Hunter, I'll never know. This made me cry when I saw it on the plane.

Just intense. Sally Hawkins is the cutest human being. And truly one of the best actresses of our time. The way she laughs is weird though. The Oscar goes to. Allison deserved this so much, Laurie was a runner-up in while Leslie was kind of a dark horse, Octavia and Mary J had no chance and didn't even deserved to be their it's a catastrophe they were nominated over Holly Hunter and Hong Chau. Her laugh hahahaha Hilarious. Nailed it! Great movie! So much depth. Very real. I'm from small town USA, I know Dickson. Rockwell nailed it. McDermott had me crying through the whole movie. Themes of love justice, regret, shame, redemption are repeated throughout through various characters. The plot twists were unpredictable, like a fit of rage. I expected this to be a good movie, didn't realize it was THAT good.

She said everything I feel about the Vatican, priests and all. Which is why I quit being a catholic. Mildred Goes to War is one amazing track. This sounds like it would make a good far cry 5 score, eh. 3:42 is me looking for my mom at Target.
